Cincinnati, Ohio-based Great American Insurance Group announced that its Ocean Marine Division, is offering a new policy endorsement that recognizes the efforts of insured marina owners who achieve and maintain “Clean Marina” status.
“Clean Marina” status is awarded to marinas that take part in environmental programs operated under the auspices of their state governments. Specifically, the goal of these programs is to contribute to the protection of water quality in order to benefit and protect current facilities and future generations.
Those marinas insured by Great American who have achieved this noteworthy status become eligible for $25,000 of professional spill management from the Great American response team and immediate access to this team in case of an emergency.
Great American’s program is designed to reward business practices that protect the environment and help marina owners manage the risks inherent in their businesses.
