Privately-held insurance broker Lockton, headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., has promoted Bob Hayworth to executive vice president.
Hayworth has been a leader in Lockton’s Kansas City Benefit operation since he joined the team in June 2003 as chief operations officer.
The company said that thanks in part to Hayworth’s leadership Lockton Benefits in Kansas City has more than doubled its growth in his six years with the organization.
Prior to his work at Lockton, Hayworth held the position of sales director with Humana and had an extensive background working for other insurance carriers. With 25 years of insurance experience, he has developed his sales, sales management and organizational leadership skills that have been essential components in helping grow both business and people.
He is a graduate of East Carolina University and holds various professional designations.
Lockton, which operates both domestically and internationally, ranked number one on Insurance Journal’s Top 100 Property Casualty Independent Agencies for 2009 list.
