Ohio-based Hylant Group has tapped wellness professional Jerid Baxter to lead its growing health and wellness practice. Baxter will be responsible for designing and implementing programming and building the tools and resources that help Hylant Group clients curb rising healthcare costs by improving the overall health of their workforce.
Baxter brings more than 20 years of health and wellness expertise to the family-owned insurance brokerage. Prior to joining Hylant Group, he developed and piloted innovative health and wellness programs at Healthways Inc. He also worked in a number of leadership positions at Harris HealthTrends Inc., a Toledo-based provider of nationwide health management services.
Baxter, a certified personal fitness trainer, is a two-time Toledo “20 Under 40″ award nominee. He is a charter member of the Northwest Ohio Wellness Professionals Association and serves on the American Red Cross health education committee for the Greater Toledo area chapter.
