I am glad to hear that Wisconsin agreed to the law change. Opponents feel the change in the law would allow the company to “skirt” its legal obligations. If a used car was purchased and that used car had been in an accident; would the new owner be liable for the actions of the previous owner? Would the new owner be responsible for the medical bills of the person that was injured in an incident prior to his purchase of the vehicle? I don’t think so. What did the new owner do that would be considered negligent? Of course I am sure there is more to this story….. there always is.
