The new law requires a $10 Million GL limit. The MI legislature passed this law to allow a broader range of fireworks to be sold legally in the State. It was done to stop MI citizens from crossing the Indiana border to purchase them and keep the sales in MI. Well, this requirement will keep them driving to IN since the cost for $10MM limit will make the prices in MI too high. Hopefully, the law is amended to require a “normal” GL limit of $1,000,000.
