    That’s hilarious! But he should have made her do it for more than 2 hours. More like a month.

    They should permanently revoke her license.

    I agree with both comments, but would have like to see a stiffer punishment. How about a two year license revocation along with two hours per day of sign-walking for an entire summer?

    You know, mostly I’m abivalent towards Ohio.

    But this…this is justice. Though I agree–I’d like to have seen her have a longer “idiot” sentence.

    UCT–I don’t think Ohio summers are nasty enough.

    Winters, on the other hand…

    The amount of media coverage surrounding this story negates the need for a longer sentence. The original video of her driving on the sidewalk was widely repeated on local news (and I’m guessing it also received national coverage). Also, the article says there were local news crews filming her standing there, so the media coverage is ongoing. Standing there for a few more hours can’t possibly increase the public humiliation she’s already received. (Every bit of which she deserved, if you’ve ever seen the video).

    I would have liked to also see maybe a half dozen points assessed against her license so her insurer would hike her rates; that would help her better understand the risks she created for the next couple of years when she had to pay her insurance premiums.

      @dabear
      I believe that passing a stopped school bus already carries a 4 insurance point penalty (in NC at least) and I suspect that they also cited her with reckless driving which is another 4 points (again in NC at least)

        @Caffiend – Good points. In MO, she would have most certainly been given a Careless & Imprudent ticket, which carries the weight of a DUI, on top of whatever ever tickets they could dole out. She earned them. Good thing for her she didn’t hit any children. I have to think parents in the community are pretty sick of this lady.
