I am confused in how this can happened. How can someone who is illegal in this country can get something that should only be reserved for someone that is a U.S. citizen. I have been serving this country for 18 long years and this is the thanks I get. These people have more rights then people who are citizens. Why can we say no to anything and why do they think they have rights. Can someone explain this to me please.
As we know, a driver’s license is “proof” for many purposes that need date of birth, including simple things like going to an R rated movie.
If you have a driver’s license, that is one of the ID’s required to get a voter registration card in some states. Not sure what other forms of ID also have to be available. So this could be a problem.
But it does also enable the alien resident to drive and presumably get to work (and pay taxes). It also is one way to encourage aliens to be documented, finally, if they have been living in the shadows.
It’s hard to blame these kids because they didn’t personally make the choice to come here as babies.

The real DETTERENT WOULD BE MAKING ILLEGAL ENTRY WITHOUT BEING PROCESSED A FELONY? Every government has suckled at the teat of big business, earning financial points for not doing the people’s business.

You cannot convince me as a Independent voter in any way, that the American people want to incessantly keep paying for the children smuggled across our borders or pregnant mothers who use the airlines to also smuggle their unborn past unsuspecting Customs and immigration officers. Thousands of concerned businesses have adopted this measure with remarkable results, to locate the millions of illegal migrants and immigrants stealing the 23 million American jobs. As a mandatory law it would not only check new hires, but that extends the provision under THE LEGAL WORKFORCE ACT. Additionally to that every American and Permanent Resident should be issued with a biometric ID card, detailing a thumbprint and retinal scan, for serious proof who you are? When it refers to citizens that is Michigan residents of greater than 6 months that have been here legally. When it refers to non-citizens it is referring to citizens of other states, not illegal aliens or foreigners that are here and do not have legal citizenship in America.
Perhaps you should learn what the constitution actually says and means before you use it to justify this ignorance.
Government is only thinking about Hispanic Background illegals, there are many illegal immigrants from all over the world, what about them? They are working so hard to survive here and be with their family, but there is nothing done for them. They need to do something about them too.

Giving them a license doesn’t by any stretch mean they’ll pay taxes. If they claimed their income, they might loose some of our giveaway programs.
