Thomas F. Motamed, chairman and CEO of CNA Financial Corp. will chair the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) – Midwest’s 2nd Annual Blazing the Trail Benefit Dinner.
CNA is the presenting sponsor for the event, taking place March 14 at Chicago’s Palmer House. Platinum sponsors include Deloitte, Encompass Insurance, Hub International Limited, Liberty Mutual, Swiss Re, Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA Inc. and Zurich. The event has already raised more than $675,000 toward its $700,000 goal.
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation serves as a united philanthropic voice of the industry, and helps communities and enriches lives by uniting their collective strengths to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership. Since its inception in May 2011, the IICF Midwest Division has logged more than 1,500 volunteer hours, and contributed more than $300,000 to local Midwest nonprofit organizations.
Emcee’d by ABC-7 Chicago’s Leah Hope , the event will honor Wells Fargo Insurance Executive Vice President Scott Isaacson with a special Trailblazer Award for his vast career achievements.
Andrew Boron, director of the Illinois Department of Insurance, will present the IICF’s Frontier Award to exceptional industry individuals Michael Conlon, Monica Ningen and Emily Olson for their outstanding community service work.
