First of the all the main problem is that Detroit appears to have a casino. The city is poverty stricken, but yet have a casino for people to take their welfare checks to for a chance to win a little money. This is an outrage more than a plea for help by the city.
    Shame on you Detroit!

If the Detroit casinos weren’t there, the people would just cross the bridge to Windsor and gamble there, like they did before the Detroit casinos existed. At least this way the money stays in the country.

Or now they could go to casinos in Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois. Might as well keep the money in country and in state.

The fire department has a $5.5 million dollar payroll each month? Detroit is a burned out mess…physically and fiscally.

Why does an insurance company owe the city money for a casino?
