My bank sent me a new credit card because of the Target incident, even though I had not used the card at Target. That was a nice touch and I would much rather do business with that institution than any attorney that wants to make money off an unfortunate incident. Target alerted the public to the problem in timely fashion — my opinion, of course — allowing those who shopped the store to monitor their account. Having to wait for a new card to arrive might put a temporary stop to impulse buying, but I doubts it puts anyone in harm’s way.
For all of you that did not have to deal with a long wait for a new card, and see the credit monitoring as sufficient- Fine, but there are others out here that waited two weeks for a new card, in the meantime had to notify all of our creditors that the card they are trying to charge was hacked, and it will be a few weeks before a new one is available. Oh and the business behind TARGET and VISA knowing about this breach long before my card’s information was stolen.
They think that pacifying us with credit monitoring will do it. Not for me, like I said I had to inform landlords, loan holders, etc that I do not have a way to pay them (since they do not take cash) for at least two weeks.
Not all banks are like your bank.
How do I get included in this lawsuit. I have been waiting on someone to get it started.

My bank issued a temporary debit card within 5 minutes of me walking in the door. What in the world is this guy talking about?
Maybe the judge could tell them that Target has already done what they are asking for, here’s your invoice, pay on the way out!
