Ohio-Based Hylant Announces Leadership Changes

Insurance brokerage firm, Hylant, announced that Chris Godley has been named president in the Columbus, Ohio, office, Craig Markos has been promoted to president of Property/Casualty, and Richard Hylant has been named president of Field Operations and Innovation.

Godley has been with Hylant for 17 years. In his new role, he will be responsible for the overall success of the Columbus office by overseeing day-to-day operations and setting the strategic vision for growth.

Markos will use his more than two decades of experience and leadership to facilitate growth in property and casualty offerings in risk management, middle market, select commercial and personal lines throughout the organization. He had served as president of the Columbus office since 2000, where his responsibilities included sales management, agency development and overall agency management.

Hylant has 28 years of experience in the insurance industry. As president of Field Operations and Innovation, Hylant will be responsible for maximizing customer and employee satisfaction with a focus on effective use of technology to drive efficiencies, revenue and shareholder value within the Hylant core values. He will also continue to lead efforts at the corporate level to identify service and volunteer opportunities in the communities where Hylant is located and act as company representative in those communities and for trade industry groups.

Hylant was founded in 1935 and is a full-service insurance brokerage with 14 offices in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and Florida.
