Countrywide Insurance Services is offering homeowners insurance online. Initially available in 15 states, consumers can buy their homeowners insurance through the website, www.cwinsurance.com. In the coming months, Countrywide will expand this online purchasing capability to include another 31 states in which the company operates.
“We’ve combined our insurance and technological expertise to become one of the first insurance providers capable of binding homeowners insurance online,” said Steve Phillips, president and CEO, Countrywide Insurance Services. “Consumers benefit from purchasing insurance online at their convenience. They no longer need to wait for a call or visit from an agent or service representative, so they are able to insure their valuable possessions in a matter of minutes. And, if they are buying a home, online access to homeowners coverage speeds the loan process.”
