INSpire Insurance Solutions has named John Pergande to succeed Earl Cox, III as CEO and Chairman of the Board of INSpire. Cox will remain a member of the INSpire Board of Directors and Jeffrey W. Robinson will continue as President, COO, and Director.
“I am very excited and enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead INSpire into the future. I believe INSpire is well positioned to exploit the many opportunities available in the P&C insurance services industry. INSpire remains committed to serving the P&C insurance marketplace through its innovative policy and claims administrative outsourcing services.
In addition, even though INSpire exited the software implementation business in late 1999, the company is seeing continued demand for its software. The upside potential in the company is in providing INSpire’s core services via the Internet and we have already had successes with our eINSpire offering,” Pergande said.
Pergande is also the managing director of Buena Ventures Associates, an early stage venture capital partnership. BVA is backed by Sid R. Bass and has been an investor in INSpire since October of 1999. BVA currently owns 12.2% of INSpire. Pergande also serves on the boards of InsureZone, Lexica, Tradecast, Single Source Communications, and Xactimed.
Prior to founding BVA, Pergande was Chairman and CFO of Pyramid Services, a developer of insurance claims processing software. Pergande has also held various positions at Electronic Data Systems, Citibank, and Spear Leeds & Kellogg. Pergande earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Yale University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
