CNA Personal Insurance has changed its name to Encompass Insurance, pledging to sell only through independent agents.
Independent agents represent one third of the personal lines insurance market and $45 billion in annual premium. Encompass sells through a network of more than 3,700 independent agents.
Encompass President Ernest Lausier said the brand pledge to independent agents, coupled with the company’s products and claims service gives Encompass a formidable competitive edge to grow premiums to become the market leader in the independent agency channel. Encompass operates and will grow as an independent brand within Allstate.
