Electric Insurance Company, a Massachusetts-based direct writer of automobile and homeowner’s insurance has unveiled its new online homeowner’s insurance quoting feature for 18 states. The new home quoting service joins the company’s online auto quoting service in place since 1996.
Electric Insurance offers the option of online purchasing in many of its auto-quote states. The new online service joins last fall’s addition of the eService Center which allows policyholders the ability to manage their Electric Insurance auto or homeowner’s account online.
Features in the service include: view policy coverages, view bill/statement, add/remove driver, add or delete a vehicle, change address, change lien holder, and order ID cards, file a first report of a claim and communicate with an Electric Insurance customer service rep in real-time with the new text chat and voice over IP features, all via a secure server connection.
