The property/casualty insurance e-commerce companies InsurePoint and nekema.com announced their intention to merge. The new company will adopt the InsurePoint brand for its insurance offerings and will target the leading commercial lines competitive marketplace for agents/brokers and carriers, in addition to personal lines systems and private label solutions.
The InsurePoint commercial lines platform provides single entry, multi-carrier competitive rating, quoting and binding for BOP, workers’ comp, commercial auto and umbrella. Additional product lines will be added later this year, as will nekema’s NPL, personal auto competitive system.
All InsurePoint/nekema services are built to be compliant with ACORD XML standards and also offer other messaging systems.
The new company will have the backing of Kemper Insurance, Atlantic Mutual, IBM and several top 100 independent insurance brokers.
