Boston-based Homesite Insurance has introduced its home insurance products to residents in Oregon and Wisconsin. With the addition of these parts of the country, Homesite now has sales in 23 states, looking to continue on a national track.
Homesite, which brings experience in catastrophe management, is focusing on a number of issues, including high fixed costs, limited distribution channels, along with minimal technological innovation.
The products are accessible through a number of direct and intermediary channels and are sent out through call centers, the Internet and proprietary channels.
