The Specialty Programs operation of Royal & SunAlliance USA announced the introduction of a program of insurance and services created to meet the distinct needs of the mechanized logging industry. The new program, “Mechanized Timber Harvesters,” offers coverage for logging contractors, pole yards and timber hauling contractors.
To a broad range of coverages, the Royal & SunAlliance stated its Specialty Programs business is adding tailored loss control services and local claims adjusting services for accounts on a no-cost basis.
Managing general agency, O’Donovan and Associates of Laurel, MD, with more than 40 years of experience in the logging industry, will handle all underwriting and account processing activities. Program access is offered to independent agents and brokers and is available throughout most of the continental U.S.
Coverages offered through the “Mechanized Timber Harvesters” program include Auto Liability and Physical Damage, General Liability and Property coverages. Qualifying logging contractors may also purchase overcut coverage. All are written on an admitted basis through one of the AM Best “A+” rated insurance companies comprising the Royal & SunAlliance US operations.
