Young Agents Head to Hawaii for IIAA Leadership Conference

July 9, 2001

Young Agents from across the U.S. will gather in Hawaii to enjoy the tropical beaches, breathtaking views and the Independent Insurance Agents of America’s (IIAA) 26th Annual Young Agents Leadership Conference.

The conference will be held October 26-28 at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii, which also is the site for IIAA’s Hawaii InfoXchange from October 27-30.

According to IIAA President William F. Hofmann III, the annual Young Agent Leadership Conference is the industry’s most effective springboard for up-and-coming producers.

According to the IIAA, its Young Agents Leadership Conference, which has the theme “Grow Your Business…Secure Your Future,” anticipates record attendance from agents nationwide. The Opening General Session, featuring Dave Gregory, sales trainer and independent agent, will focus on sales training and skills to overcome challenges while controlling stress. In addition, young agents will have the opportunity to attend sessions specifically designed for up-and-coming producers.

A distinguished panel, featuring four top insurance company CEOs, will offer young agent attendees insight into the decision-making process at leading agency companies. This unique opportunity allows panelists to discuss their vision for the future of the industry. Through this exciting panel discussion, young agents can position themselves for future successes by knowing what to expect from their company partners and how to deal with changes.

The Young Agents Leadership Conference is not all work. The opening-night event allows Young Agents to attend a traditional Hawaiian luau and hospitality suites are open nightly. These events offer a social setting where attendees have the opportunity to meet new people or see “old” friends.

Young agents are encouraged to stay for IIAA’s Hawaii InfoXchange. More than 2,000 insurance professionals are expected at this premiere industry event. The IIAA annual meeting will include a wide variety of technology workshops; continuing education classes; new Best Practices opportunities; a series of prominent speakers; one of the largest exhibit halls in the insurance industry; IIAA Sales School with Russ Granger; a Professional Seminar Series with Ken Blanchard, author of One Minute Manager; and many other features.

Registration forms for the Young Agents Leadership Conference and IIAA’s Hawaii InfoXchange are available online at www.independentagent.com.
