Great American Insurance Company has extended its technological leadership by becoming the first firm in the crop insurance industry to provide anytime access to policy information through an automated voice response system. AgLite Voice(SM) is utilizing sophisticated middleware technology to provide real-time access to policy information through one phone call from anywhere in the world.
By calling 1-877-AGLITE8, agents and farmers can instantly access claims, billing and other policy information, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The new system extends the recent rollout of AgLite Wireless(SM), which allows agents to access information via a web-enabled cell phone, Palm VII, PocketPC or the Internet.
AgLite Voice utilizes the latest voice recognition technology in combination with a seamless interface to the company’s proprietary legacy systems.
According to Steve Elfanbaum, president of Asynchrony Solutions, by utilizing the latest middleware technology to best leverage their investment in legacy systems, the company has been able to rapidly roll out both wireless and phone access to Great American’s agents and customers.
