Travelers Property Casualty announced a new version of its “Construction Risk Management Tool Kit” CD-ROM, designed to help improve contractor clients’ loss experience.
“We believe it to be one of the most comprehensive packages of construction risk management and safety information available”, said John Komidar, director of Construction Loss Prevention and Engineering. “Useful for contractors of all sizes, it’s especially helpful for those contractors who don’t have a dedicated risk management resource.”
Travelers’ CD-ROM furnishes information—available instantly in the field, anywhere contractors have access to a computer with a CD-ROM drive—to help its clients foster and maintain a safe work environment.
The CD consists of more than 400 files, organized in 15 “drawers” of information, each one representing a key loss control, risk management or claims management topic for the construction industry. A short video introduction to the particular subject area is presented by one of Loss Prevention & Engineering’s construction-dedicated specialists.
Forms, such as investigation forms and training materials, are also available. Many can be tailored to contractors’ particular operations.
The updated CD includes the following new items:
- Updated OSHA 10-hour training programs
- More ergonomic assessment and solution tools
- Extensive post injury management aids
- Updated contractual risk transfer guidelines
- Virtual tours of Travelers Industrial Hygiene laboratory
- Web links to Travelers claim department
Improved navigation helps users quickly find the particular information they are seeking, and—because of the rapidly evolving nature of loss prevention information—many hyperlinks are furnished to Web sites containing the most up-to-date information.
