Baldwin Sadler Corporation (www.baldwinsadler.com) has unveiled a new truckers occupational accident program.
The program coverage provides truck owner-operators, who are under lease to a motor carrier, the opportunity to purchase occupational accident and disability income insurance that may not be available under their carriers workers’ compensation program. While it is not workers’ comp insurance, the cost for occupational accident coverage may be less than half.
An eligible risk consists of one or more truck owner-operators hauling under contract/lease for 30 or more days. For groups of 10 or more, contingent liability may be offered. Coverages include accident medical expense, temporary disability, continuous total disability, accidental death and accidental dismemberment.
The program is available in all states except Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.
