The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. announced that Jonathan Bennett has been named senior vice president of the personal lines division in its property-casualty operations effective April 1.
Bennett succeeds Paul Kennedy, who will retire from The Hartford. In his new position, Bennett will have oversight for the underwriting and development of The Hartford’s auto, homeowners and other personal insurance products sold through independent agents and affinity partners such as AARP.
Bennett joined The Hartford in 1999 as staff assistant to the chairman. In March 2000 he was named vice president of corporate development. The following year he joined the property-casualty company’s e-business organization to lead the division’s e-business ventures team. Most recently, Bennett was senior vice president, product management, for the personal lines division with responsibility for the design and deployment of The Hartford’s auto and homeowners insurance products.
