The National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA), dedicated to empowering African-American insurance professionals and increasing their numbers nationwide, announced that its 2003 National Conference and Empowerment Summit will be held Sept. 19-21 in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace. Some 300 independent agents, company representatives and industry professionals are expected to attend.
NAAIA’s annual summit attracts a wide range of insurance and risk management professionals from across the nation who attend career-enhancing seminars on leadership, professional development, and education courses on timely insurance topics. In addition, the program provides ample time for “social connecting” in a high energy but relaxing atmosphere, according to NAAIA Chairman Roosevelt Haywood III.
The 2003 summit, which precedes the IIABA InfoXChange at Ceasears, will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions offering solutions to the challenges faced by minorities in the industry as well as companies looking to tap into the multicultural marketplace, Haywood said.
Power networking, career-building workshops and problem-solving discussions will provide a great forum for corporate recruiters and others attending from many of the top U.S. insurance companies, he said. In addition, more opportunities will abound during the gala awards banquet and at the after glow party overlooking Las Vegas from the top floor of Caesars Palace.
