ACS, a provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced it has signed an additional outsourcing agreement with Royal & SunAlliance USA, part of the Royal & SunAlliance Worldwide Group. Under the terms of the four-year, $21 million agreement, ACS will provide Royal & SunAlliance with network management services including transport assets and carrier services management.
ACS has been an IT partner to Royal & SunAlliance for nearly 10 years, currently providing data center operations and technical support for all mainframe platforms, as well as wide-area network management.
The new outsourcing agreement between the two companies is in addition to their existing contract, and will bring value-added services and managed efficiencies to help Royal & SunAlliance reportedly improve network capabilities and control costs.
Specific among the services ACS will provide as part of the new contract are: delivery of significant monthly savings on telecommunications transport services; monthly delivery of a concise set of billing reports tailored to Royal & SunAlliance’s accounting requirements; asset management of all transport components (access charges, billing telephone numbers, voice, and data service components); circuit provisioning and vendor management; on-going verification of carrier billing accuracy; and automatic participation in rate reductions as ACS renegotiates its carrier services contracts.
