Travelers Property Casualty Corp. (www.travelers.com) and InStar Corporation (www.instarcorp.com), an agency management system provider, announced new real-time e-service capabilities for loss runs, electronic policy view, and billing inquiry for small commercial insurance policies using IVANS Transformation Station(TM).

These new e-service capabilities are accessed directly from an agency’s InStar agency management system. The transactions are processed through IVANS Transformation Station, an Internet managed data exchange for real-time transactions using ACORD XML.

“Travelers is a leader in providing technological solutions that help independent agents achieve long-term profitability through greater efficiency,” said Larry Illion, president of Select Accounts, the division of Travelers that provides small business insurance. “We’re pleased to be the first to extend these important new e-service capabilities to agents using InStar’s agency management system.”

“I see this as a good utilization of technology which enhances the independent agent’s daily workflow,” added Tom Hatcher, vice president, director of Marketing & Sales at InStar. “With just a couple of clicks, you can provide answers to your customers’ inquiries in real-time. This increased efficiency will likely result in greater client satisfaction, retention and profitability. The intuitive user interface makes implementation effortless so the agency can benefit from it immediately.”
