EdChoice, Schinnerer’s insurance program for small to mid-size colleges and universities, has added another line of coverage. General liability (GL) coverage for exposures such as corporal punishment, athletics or sports activities, abuse and molestation, host liquor, as well as limited pollution coverage is now available.
The policy features a broad named Insured which also extends to school nurses, speech therapists, athletic trainers and physical therapists.
Coverage includes non-owned watercraft up to 50 feet, fellow employee coverage, an expanded definition of bodily injury, personal and advertising injury for course-related chat rooms and bulletin boards, and a broadened coverage territory for foreign education activities.
Schinnerer’s target risks for the program include small to mid-size public and private non-profit colleges and universities, including community colleges, with enrollments up to 5,000.
The GL policy is written on an admitted basis and is available in the
following states: Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.
In addition to the GL policy, CNA and Schinnerer have teamed up to offer a Trustees, Officers, Management and Employee Liability Policy.
