Lloyd’s America has revealed exclusively to Insurance Journal that an investigation is currently underway for allegedly bogus umbrella trucking liability policies reportedly placed through the Oakland, Calif.-based broker Ambassador Insurance Services and/or GIO International of London, England.
Any retail insurance broker who believes they have obtained a Lloyd’s Umbrella Trucking Liability policy via Ambassador Insurance Services and/or GIO International should contact Lloyd’s immediately for verification of purported coverage.
Trucking companies holding a Lloyd’s Umbrella Trucking Liability policy obtained either directly or indirectly through Ambassador Insurance Services and/or GIO International should also contact Lloyd’s in order to verify the status of that coverage.
If you have any information, please contact Wayne Wertzer, Lloyd’s America Inc., at: (212) 382-4092, or you may fax the declarations page of the policy in question to: (212) 382-4070.
