The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE:HIG) today announced that Judith A. Patterson has been appointed executive vice president of its First State Management Group subsidiary.
Patterson, who previously held the title of senior vice president, will be primarily responsible for all underwriting units, business systems, office services, communications, ceded reinsurance and information technology at the Boston-based unit.
The Hartford’s First State Management group is based in Boston and handles the company’s surplus lines and specialty property operations.
Patterson began her career at First State in 1975 as an underwriting assistant. Two years later, she was appointed to property underwriter, and subsequently served in executive underwriting management positions of increasing responsibility.
