The Hartford Chosen as Preferred Commercial Insurer by National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), representing more than 40,000 wholesale- distribution companies across the country, has selected The Hartford Financial
Services Group Inc. as its endorsed provider of commercial
property/casualty insurance.

comprehensive insurance tailored to the specific needs of wholesaler-
distributors,” said Dirk Van Dongen, NAW president. “The Hartford’s

The Hartford offers industry-specific underwriting expertise and coverages to meet the insurance needs of companies in the wholesale distribution industry. In addition to providing core commercial insurance coverages – property, liability, commercial auto and workers’ compensation insurance – The Hartford offers expedited claims handling services and a countrywide
network of loss control and risk management experts to help wholesaler-distributors protect their businesses and minimize loss costs.

As part of their strategic alliance, NAW and The Hartford will reach out
to wholesale distribution companies through The Hartford’s network

    Originally they picked "any carrier that gives me the lowest price" as the association preferred carrier but that didn't look as good in the press release.

    in a related story, the turkey blt was chosen as preferred sandwich by this same group. bologna and cheese was a distant second.
