The US Senate could have avoided funding a study by simply asking the Baptist churches how they managed to cover the State of MS with volunteers, know how and supplies of food & water, clothing – you name it – 5 days before a single person from FEMA showed up.

The committee got started in the right direction when they said \”FEMA should be aboloshied – - \”. Then they should have stopped right there. The government doesn\’t need to be in the insurance business. Let the private sector handle it. It they can\’t then you need to adjust your building and risk exposure accordingly.

How ridiculous! What\’s in a name? It would cost a small fortune to redo the email, website, published materials, uniforms, etc. Money that could be put to better use re-organizing and better managing the employees & funds. Or money that could be sent to help the Gulf Coast!
