Boston, Mass.-based CDS Business Mapping LLC., an online property risk mapping, announced that AR, KY, NM, OK, TN, and UT have been added to the RiskMeter Online’s (www.RiskMeter.com) Distance to Fire Station Report, bringing the total number of states to 41.
The Distance to Fire Station Report uses routing technology to determine the distance to the three closest fire stations. By simply typing in an address, RiskMeter Online users can get a detailed report that returns drive distance to responding fire stations, names of the stations and staffing.
“Regardless of the training, personnel or equipment at a station, if an insured location is greater than 5 miles from a station, the chance of a large loss is inevitable,” explains James Munson, Director of Consulting Services, CDS Business Mapping. “This report will immediately verify the distance from responding fire stations, and more importantly, it will help carriers decide early in the underwriting process whether a location is protected or not.”
