AIX Group, Inc., a specialty insurance holding company headquartered in Windsor, Conn., has hired Peter Soloway as vice president of program business development. Soloway will be responsible for the coordination of program management, underwriting, claims administration, reinsurance placement and policy rating/issuance.
For the past 11 years, he has been involved in the alternative risk transfer segment, developing and implementing risk retention groups, rent-a-captives, and group/association captives for Discover Reinsurance and Artis Group. Previously, Soloway spent 12 years as a national accounts broker with Marsh Inc.
AIX Group, Inc. was founded in 2005 by five insurance industry veterans, Bob Schultz, Ron Ganiats, Mark Green, Ron Mairano, and Russ Renvyle, in conjunction with Sterling Capital Partners, to fill a offer specialty program insurance, including traditional first dollar programs, risk retention groups, rent-a-captive facilities, group and association captives and hybrid collateral structures.
