After terminating many employees and agents Ludrof is now getting a dose of his own medicine. You always get what you pay for in the end.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he got an advanced look at Eire’s figures and decided to jump ship before everything hit the fan. They have been deeply discounting contractors for years @ roughly 50% of manual. In January they agressively began discounting WC, again at around 50% to save PC part of account. Red Ink just around the corner. Guess he got his bonus and went his own way.
No, he probably left instead of getting fired. The new CEO is not a fan of his.
Erie has reported high earnings at the expense of the employees. Erie has raised the cost of health ins while lowering coverage 3 years in a row. They have stopped offering coverage for retirees. They have not replaced employees that have left the company saving the salary and benefits expense and making every employee do the work of 3 while lowering the raise scale making it impossible for anyone to get a decent raise although they are doing the jobs of 3 people. Just hope you don’t have a claim because it is impossible to get someone on the phone to talk to you about your claim. Some of the simplest claims are dragged on for months!! Erie Officials are lining their pockets and the rest of the company are on nerve and anti anxiety medication (that the rx plan won’t pay for) It is only a matter of time before the outside world catches on and AM Best as well as JD Powers figures it out!
Jeffrey A. Ludrof needed to go. Erie Insurance is rated by Fight Bad Faith Insurance as not a good company to be with. I took Erie Exchange to small claims court and won several thousand dollars. They even had an attorney and I didn’t. Of course, they appealed forcing me to hire and attorney. With that in mind, I can’t wait to see what a jury has to say when givin the facts. I’m glad Jeffrey Ludrof is gone and Terrence is the new CEO. He comes from the best rated company on the FBIC list. Hopefully, he’ll bring Chubb’s good faith practices and do away with the practices that has caused the FBIC to rate Erie as one of the worst 24 out of 100 company’s to have insurance with. Glad to see Jeff gone. Anyone who wants to know how insurance company’s are rated, just google “FBIC”.
