U.S. Risk, Inc., a subsidiary of U.S. Risk Insurance Group, Inc., has added The Colony Group as a new market for its Criminal Justice Service Operations Program.
The Colony Group, rated “A” by A.M. Best and a member of Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ:AGII), will offer professional and general liability coverage, and property and auto coverage in selected states. U.S. Risk will have in-house underwriting authority with limits up to $6 million and the ability to access higher limits directly through The Colony Group.
“By working with The Colony Group, we will be able to offer our clients enhanced criminal justice services coverage as well as competitive premiums,” said Mike Davis, executive vice president and program manager, U.S. Risk Scottsdale. “The Colony Group is a specialty insurance expert that will give us the ability to expand this program.”
U.S. Risk’s Criminal Justice Services Operations Program includes public and private prisons and jails, drug and alcohol treatment centers, probation services, halfway houses and other court adjudicated services.
