Zurich recently announced that its North American Environmental business unit has added an environmental liability policy named Z Choice to its portfolio of insurance solutions. This menu-driven form enables policyholders to customize the coverages and limits (up to $50 million) to meet their business needs.
Customers can choose among core coverages such as first- and third-party bodily injury and property damage for on- and off-site cleanup for new and existing pollution events. Additionally, they can add to their program from a large suite of optional coverages that includes natural resource damages, business interruption, mold, transportation of materials and financial assurance, among others.
Zurich noted in its statement that Z Choice provides an easy policy format to make complex business decisions simpler. It is easy to understand, and the declarations page quickly shows what is covered.
“Z Choice is a flexible program that provides our customers with the ability to tailor coverages for their unique fixed-facility exposures and pay only for the coverages they need,” said Kenneth Berger, executive vice president of Zurich’s Environmental unit.
Zurich’s Z Choice policy is appropriate for industry classes such as commercial real estate portfolios, manufacturing, chemical facilities, health care, water treatment facilities, food processing, laboratories and public institutions.
