Insurance agents in search of a way to separate themselves from the pack with their nonprofit clients might want to think beyond offering only insurance.
Manhasset, New York- based NIF Group, a national insurance program administrator, has launched a new service for its agent partners aimed at the specialized needs of America’s nonprofit organizations. The new service allows agents to access fundraising, insurance and other services that can help their clients that are nonprofits perform better in their missions.
NIF says its Nonprofit Advisor is the first, holistic resource for nonprofits for agents, nonprofits and carriers.
In addition to insurance, some of the key components of NIF’s service include funding, healthcare, trusts and asset management, marketing strategy, business development, prospecting and sales support, and industry and client benchmarking.
“Nonprofits, like all businesses, have significant emphasis on performance and growth. However, they are faced with a more difficult operating environment than most,” said Dan Mogelnicki, NIF’s nonprofit chief. “NIF Nonprofit Advisor’s purpose is to provide insurance agents with high quality resources that they can furnish to their nonprofit clients, thus giving them a substantive and meaningful competitive advantage.”
The new service is focused on first providing real-time information on the nonprofit community to agents. Then, it helps these advisors benchmark their existing and prospective nonprofit clients’ business operations and programs. Finally, the service helps nonprofit advisors implement a set of solutions to meet the needs suggested by the benchmarking.
