Harleysville Insurance Co.’s CustomPak, its flagship product of its recently launched StarAdvantage Series, supports seven market segments that encompass nearly 500 business classes.
Market segments targeted for Harleysville’s new offering include: business services, retail and wholesale/distributing; auto services, manufacturing/processing and restaurants; and contractors.
CustomPak recently was introduced in Harleysville’s home state of Pennsylvania. Product launches are planned to be completed in the company’s remaining states throughout 2008 and into early 2009.
Designed for small and middle-market businesses, CustomPak uses Harleysville’s existing commercial property package as the foundation for property, general liability, crime and inland marine coverages, then adds a second layer of broadened property and general liability coverages, while a third layer contains professional liability protection and broadened coverage geared to specific market segments and industry groups.
One minimum premium applies for all base coverages included in the package.
The company said additional market segments are being considered for further expansion.
