Wichita, Kan.-based IMA has formed a new subsidiary, Signature Select LLC. This new entity, a retail insurance broker, will provide personal insurance services and business insurance solutions for small to mid-sized organizations.
“As we studied the best practices of insurance agencies throughout the U.S., it became abundantly clear that personal lines and small commercial business were areas in which IMA was not fully realizing its potential,” said Kurt Watson, president and chief operating officer of The IMA Financial Group.
The new subsidiary merges the employees and assets of the IMA Private Client Services and IMA Community Business departments. Signature Select will be based in Wichita, with a presence in Dallas, Denver, Kansas City and Topeka, and is seeking licensure in all 50 states.
Luke Proctor has been named president of Signature Select. Proctor joined The IMA Financial Group in 2003 in the management development program, eventually focusing on strategic planning and special projects.
