Professional Program Insurance Brokerage of Novato, Calif., has a new program for translators and interpreters. Professional liability coverage is offered through an “A” rated carrier. Three levels of liability coverage include $250,000, $500,000 or $1 million, with aggregates up to $3 million. Policy form is claims made. Coverage can be included for the applicant, applicants’ owned company, employees and contractors. General liability can be added.
The policy protects against claims including defense costs, alleging errors, omissions or negligent acts arising out of professional interpreting or translating services.
This program is available in all states excluding Alaska and Mississippi. Broker commission is payable at 10 percent. Increased commissions are available for managing general agents and wholesalers.
