Travelers launched a new automated system that allows agents to rate, quote and issue policies electronically and more efficiently for agribusiness insurance.
The new interface — Travelers Agribusiness System (TAgS) — will be helpful to agents that sell agribusiness insurance, where a single risk can include a variety of exposures, from a barn and a baler to cows and harvested crops, the insurer said. The new system is accessed via the Web and Travelers proprietary Agent HQ portal.
“Not only does TAgS reduce the quoting time for agents, more than 25 percent in initial testing, the new system allows Travelers to handle significant amounts of business with lower expense and higher efficiency,” said Scott Newbury, second vice president, marketing, Travelers Agribusiness.
TAgS also allows for online endorsement and automatic renewal processing. Combined with the Travelers Agent HQSM portal and E-Services, agents will receive real-time claims and billing information and electronic policy views. TAgS is currently available to existing automated agents and will be rolled out to additional Travelers Agribusiness agents later this year.
