New York-based Starr Indemnity & Liability Co. has made three executive appointments.
Jim Vendetti has been named senior vice president & chief underwriting officer. He will oversee building and managing all underwriting units, including property, casualty, financial lines, environmental, crisis Management and Programs business. He most recently served as senior vice president for AIU, headed the International Casualty, Crisis Management and Environmental business. From 2002 to 2006, he was executive vice president and then president of AIG Global Energy Casualty.
Alex Pittignano has been named vice president of the Crisis Management and Environmental Divisions. He will be responsible for growing and managing this portfolio. He has 10 years experience in the insurance industry, having held positions as the practice leader for Environmental Liabilities in the United States and Europe and as a global leader for Crisis Management with AIU. He most recently served as vice president of Environmental Liabilities for Rockhill Underwriting Management.
Ian Davey has been named chief underwriting officer of the Program Division. Ian has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and will be responsible for the underwriting and management of all managing general agency business as well as direct agency business. He most recently served as senior vice president for QBE for all U.S. entities.
