Just like Health Insurance must cover pre-existing conditions, so must business insurance cover those who now realize they may be threatened by this terrible tragedy. Businesses must be allowed now to purchase insurance now that will cover them from loss, just like it will with health insurance.

The “Obama Was Right” post was posted by a faux-Rosie! I don’t like it when other people try to steal my flava. :(

Did Mr. O’Brien come from Lex like his bosses? If so, I am really perplexed because his comments, which some might pass off as opportunistic, sounded heartfelt to me.
The perplexing part is that you would have not seen such statements coming out of an AIG organization spokesperson.
Hurrah to you Mr. O’Brien !!

That is the craziest thing I have heard of. No way should they be allowed now to get coverage for somehting that has already happened because they had chosen not to have the coverage to begin with. You can not get coverage on your vehicle after an accident happens and this is no different. No way can you compare this to health coverage. Pre existing conditions may be covered by health insurance now but they won’t go back and pay for a heart surgery that you already had before you got your new health policy. Think people! Insurance is a business just like any other and they are there to make money. It would be crazy to allow people to get the coverage they should have had and was available to them but they decided not to get.

You have to be kidding? Have you ever heard of “adverse selection”? This suggestion is that concept on ultra-steroids. Why even have a policy. Let’s just set a pile of money out there and everybody take what they need. Or do you want to send a pile of money to our super efficient federal government and see how much actually makes it to those who need it?
