Thank you writing this article. Fireman’s Fund recognizes the importance of Green Building – it saves money and uses less energy and water. But, please do not forget a very important aspect: the health of the occupants. Environmental Health is a relatively new subject compared to studies on energy and water, yet we all understand how our health is directly linked to our indoor living environment. I have been researching this topic for over a decade as an Interior Designer. Our schools are the FIRST place to make healthier – since more than half have self-reported poor indoor air quality. Our kids are the most vulnerable as their bodies are still developing, and they are constantly being bombarded with unhealthy toxins. Please don’t underestimate how important the quality of life is to air we breathe. We can live in buildings which promote wellness or sickness. Green buldings will save our money, energy & water AND health. http://www.healthylivinginteriors.com Thank you
