Atlanta-based Catlin US has appointed Steven Ensign as director of the Direct Property Facultative Department for its reinsurance operations in Hartford.
Ensign has been with the Catlin Group and predecessor companies since 1999, performing a variety of roles within the reinsurance operation. Prior to joining Catlin, he worked as an underwriter for Employers Reinsurance Co. and CNA Insurance and as a client manager for Marsh.
In related changes, Rick Watson, who formerly held the director’s position, will be assuming a new technical role as a referral underwriter. Diane Shelton will assume Ensign’s former role as branch manager for the Direct Property Facultative Department in Hartford.
