Yes, but is there an increase in Collision claims on these vehicles as THEY are rear-ended by others when the Volvo suddenly slams on the brakes?
Yes, perhaps, but then it would be that driver’s fault for driving too close and not being able to react in time. The Volvo that is suddenly slamming on its breaks has a very viable reason for doing so. It’s just not slamming its breaks on for kicks here, it’s preventing an accident. All vehicles should have this technology installed on them. And perhaps, one day they will!

Instead of creating more nanny gadgets for our cars, let’s teach people HOW TO DRIVE! American drivers in particular seem to be the least skilled and most oblivious of any developed country I have driven in.
