    All they’re proposing is better forecasting and notification. What about strengthening building codes and zoning laws to mitigate the damage from these natural forces?

    What a load of nonsense! If there is anything more frightening than a bloated govenment agency, it would have to be a bunch of them joining together to fix things. Besides, if these people are implying that our present ability to predict tomorrow’s weather needs a lot of work, what does that suggest about this same bunch pontificating about weather 50 years out. Besides II–Uncle Sugar is broke–where will he get the cash to fund this dopey idea–hmmm?
