Looks like its time for a recess appointment. Bush certainly used it to insert his unqualified political cronies, so it certainly would be acceptable to appoint a qualified person for a position that might actually help the average person. It would also give Senate and House Republicans political cover with their corporate masters.

Another of the myriad of agencies that should be culled from the Federal Bureaucracy. They are all doing duplicative work anyway. The new President should just go down the list of departments, agencies, sub agencies and do an executive order disbanding them and maybe we can make a dent in the deficit.

If you had your way, and eliminated all of the so-called unecessary govermental agencies, you would wind up throwing hundreds of thousands of government employees out of work.

      Here are two guarantees:

      1. You undoubtedly believe that all those employees losing their jobs would be a good thing.

      2. You undoubtedly would blame the President caused by the elimnination of those agencies.

I wish there was an “edit” function. Change # 2 to:

        2. You undoubtedly would blame the President FOR THE RISE IN UNEMPLOYMENT caused by the elimination of those agencies.

I will say one thing, you are consistent. Big government is responsible for much of the job losses in this country. All we have to do is look at the EPA which is causing business to lay off employees all across the country. Obamacare is another big job killer and companies are paring down because they know they will not be able to afford it. Government employees are a drain on society with their pay and benefit packages. They should get out in the real world and do productive work instead of sapping off the taxpayers and trying to regulate every aspect of our lives.

Last time I checked government employees were taxpayers too. But go ahead and eliminate their jobs, and then blame Obama for the rise in unemployment.

Do you have any evidence for your claims?
