While Walmart is spending millions to defend, if in fact this is a contingency based suit from the plaintiffs then the attorneys are going to get their dough somehow. The only people making anything from this at this point again are the attorneys. What a shame, the highes court in the land heard their call and responded unfavorable but they just aren’t satisfied until they get their dough.
Attorneys are a scourge on our society. If we closed all the law schools for 10 years, the country would still have 10 times the lawyers needed to do litigation. They have taken on WalMart who is well equipped to defend themselves. They have a legion of lawyers on retainer as well. In fact, a consumer who allegedly trips and falls at a store rarely gets a settlement out of them. Usually, the camera catches them staging it so these things tend to go away.
