Obama’s Budget only bolsters our National Debt!

We are headed on a financial collision course with the likes of Greece, Portugal and Spain.

You are correct Sarah, brought to you by the George W.Bush War Machine! Why don’t you try for a change to get behind our President and have a little confidence in him. If you haven’t looked lately, the stock market is very close to 13,000 and I definetely am not complaining about that.

The stockmarket is up and that’s a great thing. Also up, gas prices, food, the deficit is up dramatically in the past three years, underemployment is up, foreclosures back up per yesterday’s news, those dropping out of the job market, many things are up. Up isn’t always a good thing, Raider’s Fan. I see too many failures for our President. Had he been an average employee in any company, with this many things not going well in his first three years on the job, well, I don’t know many places that would not have terminated someone with that record. It has nothing to do with getting behind him and having confidence. He’s a grown man, not a little kid that needs someone to give him some encouragement. It’s time to move on to someone else, his ideas and policies just aren’t making it. 3 years is enough of a trial period.

TxLady, I thought we were supposed to coddle and coach people and tell them it’s okay to fail and that it’s not their fault. After all, isn’t it the American dream to blame someone else for your short comings while living off your neighbors paycheck?

I wonder what flavor the kool-aid is…November can’t get here soon enough.

      Raider Fan,
having confidence in an incompetent community agitator will not help our debt.
Obama beat up the Bush Administation for adding as much in 8 years as Obamination added in 2 years.

This guy was planted to destroy this country. Look at the results?
Blame anyone but yourself just like a good liberal!

You dummies bought his hope and change crap! He laughed his way to the bank and paid off his lot in Chicago that he owed Resco for.

    LMAO- Raider Fan!

Try 9.5 trillion debt on 1/20/2009 Obama taking office, to 15.4 trillion now and our debt limit has also been raised due to Obamas spending to 16 trillion, all of this under our great “community organizers watch! No comparison dude. Remember raider fan that a democrat led congress was in complete control of congress and spending from 2006 to 2011. During that time the national debt was raised more than any other 5 year time frame since the inception of our nation. Who do you think is going to pay back this debt? and when do you think we will be able to pay it off? Huh! I hear crickets,….. Chirp chirp. You like all liberals have no answers just a factless, emotional outburst of ridicule. I Oh and by the way The stock market at 13000 means nothing to the out of work, under paid and under water homeowners who can not sell their house. I thought you guys were protesting capitalism a few weeks ago, now its your whole talking points with regards to Obama. LOL… comon man! get your protest right!

Sarah, between 2006 and 2008, the President who signed that budget and agreed to that spending was a Republican. And Republican’s took control of the House in 2010, not 2011.

If you think the debt is purely a Democratic problem, you’re not being honest with yourself. The debt more tripled while Reagan was President, but I doubt you think he was a bad President. George W Bush inherited a budget surplus and pissed it away on two wars, tax cuts and Medicare Part D.

Both parties share the blame. And by the way, the deficit this year was $1.4 trillion. The Republican proposal was to reduce the deficit by $100 billion. Read that again. They didn’t want to reduce it TO $100 billion, they wanted to reduce it BY $100 billion. So even if the Democrats gave them everything the wanted, the debt would still have gone up by huge margins.

This isn’t a Republican versus Democratic problem.

Fact! The 112th congress was sworn into office 1/6/2011 not on 11/4/2010 which was when they were elected not when they took office. Remember that was when the Democrats enacted all kinds of unpopular liberal agenda laws in defiance of the will of the american people and initiated spending and funding of liberal pork projects during this lame duck period between 11/4 election and the 1/6 swearing in of the republican led house.

No this is not a republican vs a democrat thing. It is a ecomonically ignorant liberal socialist, class warfare supporting President and Senate against a smart conservative public which some call the tea party, I just think of them as logical Americans.

No one held a gun to president Bush’s head when he signed those budgets in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

President Truman used to say “The buck stops here.”

Do you honestly think Democrats are the only ones who fund pork projects?

Fact – Clinton did not run a surplus, social security did. By law whenever there is a surplus in social security the money has to be used to buy US government debt. It was an accounting trick which makes it look like Clinton robbing Peter and paid Paul. Go back to the kool-aid.

This is nothing but continued cronyism, paying back some of his liberal campaign finance folks –namely the entertainment industry folks. And as for the Illinois Jail purchase, there too again is more payback going to OB’s state from which he sprang.

I’ve always thought that “Royalty” income was excessive and that there ought to be a Royalty Tax placed on royalties. Royalty income payments continue on ad infinitum long after the work was finished, and often long after the original royalty recipient is deceased (think Elvis; Michael Jackson, etc.)

Anyone know any good legislators who can push for this? Wonder why this revenue stream has never occurred to Democrats?

By the way, the 1994 surplus was wholy due to the efforts of the republican led Congress which inacted wellfare reforms and tax policy which created jobs. All this while Clinton was sleeping with interns. Yes under Reagan who ended the “Cold War” by bankrupting the Solviet Union did increase our National debt from 1.1 trillion to 2.4 trillion, a 1.3 trillion increase over an 8 year period. Hmm…Under Obama it has gone from 9.5 to 15.4 currently almost 6 trillion increase in only three years and increasing by over 1.5 trillion every year into the forseeable future. Any Jackass can see that this is unsustainable.

So, let me see if I understand you correctly. If the economy is good when there’s a Democratic President and a Republican led Congress, (Like for some of the Clinton years) Congress, not the President gets the credit. But when the President is a Republican and the Congress is led by Democrats (like it was during the Reagan years), the President gets the credit, not the Congress.

Sounds a lot like “Heads I win, tails you lose.”

That’s the first sensible thing you said all day. Both administrations were successful because they both reached across the aisle and put the partisan BS to bed. Politics in the 80s and 90s were still about ruling in our best interest; not in the interest of the politicians.

arguing with a liberal is like trying to talk logic to a five year old. Okay, Other, when you spend more than you take in its called a deficit, you cannot keep doing at an increased rate. I know you really care about poor people on wellfare and the 48% of people who get more money back on there tax return than they paid in, (wellfare) oh and by the way if we took 100% of the richest peoples taxes, we still would not make a dent in our national deficit. but we cannot keep giving money away to people who do not earn it. We can not keep paying for the health cost of the elderly when everyone is living until age 85. I wish we lived in a world where being financially responsible was not necessary. But this is the world we live in and one day if we follow the current so called leadership of Obama we will be like Greece, trying to negotiate with China on our debt and having to impose really painful austerity measures taken instead of doing something about it now. By the way congress has not been able to approve any budget under Obama, even when under a democrat led house and senate. It is just obvious to anyone who understands finance that we cannot keep doing what Obama has done and not eventually default on our debt.

so, let me see i understand you right mr. Other point, it is a well known fact that Clinton fought against the wellfare reform package that Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich pushed for which really created the surplus in question. The contract with America, which stipulated exactly what they were going to accomplish in the fist 100 days of that congress. President Clinton, who really didnt have any real legislative accomplishments over his eight years other than Americans with disabilities act, i mean comon foght against the republicans until he was able to see how effective Newt was at getting real wok done.. I seriously cant see where you give Clinton much credit for anything except sleeping with 19 year old interns. Its pretty clear Democrats are for increased spending and conservatives are for smaller Government.

I’m a republican (really a libertarian but whatever), and i can look back on the 90’s and admit that Clinton was a good president. Nafta was a good idea, intervention in the balkans was the right call, he was able to work with the republicans in congress until he was a lame duck and he was the most entertaining president on a social level we’ve ever had.

    HOLY PARTISAN DIVISION!!!!!

Recognize that you are part of the problem and not at all part of the solution. Partisan politics (read as “perpetual bickering”) will bring this country down much much more quickly than any debt will! Someone must have been sick on the day they talked about “working together” in first grade!

I wish people would just let capitalism work!!!!! You sure don’t want to see socialism…..If Obama had not bailed out his union cronies with GM and Chrysler they would have filed bankruptcy but would have reorganized, that’s the way capitalism works.. If the government would stay out of the business of commerce, we would be alot better off. Also they need to definitely leave the separation of church and state alone, no matter who is president.
